REPLACER Kick-Off Meeting

We're excited to share that our new research project, REPLACER (Recycling plastic and creating hybrid living materials by capturing greenhouse gases to make valuable products), is officially underway. Our project, which is part of the M-ERA-NET Program, has a budget of more than 1.6 million EUR. On the 24th and 25th of August, we held our kick-off meeting in Leipzig.

The meeting included both online and in-person talks.

We're collaborating on this initiative with two European universities: Leipzig University and the University of Latvia. We also work with the renowned Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM) and the company qCOAT.

We talked about the project idea and planned out the next six months over the course of two days. This project has piqued our interest, and we can't wait to get started. Every project we undertake is a modest step toward a brighter future with greater sustainability, a cleaner environment, and a more pleasant surroundings.
