One of our dearest projects is the MUSHNOMICS project, where we are implementing a revolutionary digital platform that can make Machine Learning ubiquitous even in mushroom growing. Many challenges have been raised, like Data Privacy and company secrets, but also the need for Open Data for scientific use.
During our stay in Dublin, we met the UCD staff and got up to date with all the fantastic research that they are doing on this topic. We were also accompanied by our partners from Pilze Kft (Hungary), the largest oyster mushroom (Pleurotus Ostreatus) growers in Hungary and from the University of Copenhagen. We discussed all the aspects of the project, from substrate generation to mushroom growing and even spent substrate disposal in a green and sustainable way. Apart from this, we discussed the Data-Driven Platform that we are building, in order to better suit the needs of potential clients in the mushroom-growing industry.
We are dreamers and idealists at heart, so we pour our souls into making everything green and leaving a better world for our children. The MUSHNOMICS Project is not an exception. We really hope to see the results of our hard work materialized into standardised methodologies, new state-of-the-art methods of growing mushrooms and also a digital platform that will suit both commercial as well as scientific use.
